Daily Bursa Tour

Bursa, originally known as Prusa, was founded in the 3rd century BC and named after King Prusias I of Bithynia. Modern-day Bursa derives its name from this ancient city. Serving as the first capital of the Ottoman Empire between 1326 and 1364, Bursa is also famously called “Green Bursa” due to the green hue that colored many of its 15th-century buildings. The city is renowned for its abundant thermal springs, mostly located in the Çekirge district. Today, Bursa remains a significant center for Turkish silk production, famous worldwide for its exquisite Hereke silk carpets.
